These are screenshots of my audience questionnaire, my survey includes ten questions, I will send this survey out to thirty people.
Month: April 2016
Research analysis
I researched my audience by sending out a survey to thirty people the results of that survey show me that the majority of my audience will be male ages between eighteen and twenty years old, it also shows that all 30 people that filled out my survey watch horror films it also shows that the majority of those people attend the cinema every week, 75% of the people are enrolled as a student in some form of education it also shows that the same percent of people are also in emplyment, and are more likely to go and view a film in which their own age group is cast, when there are characters of the viewers own age group involved in a film it makes the movie more relatable.the 8th question that was on the survey i sent out was “do you use social media ?” 100% of the 30 people sued some form of social media this is good because they will be able to spread a buzz and create awareness of the movie to people who may not have seen it before., the 9th question on this survey was “what makes a trailer appeal to you” the most dominating response was the storyline, the last question was “do you think the opening of a trailer should include dialogue?” the answer to this question was 50/50.after doing this audience research and analysing my results i will make sure that my trailer has a strong storyline which is intriguing and easy for my target audience to follow.
What a storyboard/script needs
Storyboard:a storyboard is defined as a graphic organiser in the form of drawings or images displayed in sequence for the purpose of planning a motion picture, animation, motion graphic or interactive media sequence.
a script:a script is defined as a written work by screenwriters for a film, video game, or television program. These screenplays can be original works or adaptations from existing pieces of writing. included in them movement, actions, expression, and dialogues of the characters.
Location scouting
The locations I have chosen to shoot my movie trailer at is Theobalds train station, trinity lane and 75 Northfield road. the reason why I have chosen these locations is because they have the mise-en-sen that connotes all the genre conventions linked in with horror. my film is called 126 bond street so it is essential that I have shots of a street and the street sign, also to keep in with the plot of my film I will need to film it in a normal house, i have chosen this house because it is relatable to my target audience. 75 Northfield road is a quite street that normally seems abandoned.
